Ford Training Equipment Donation Acceptance Agreement.pdf
Summary: The Dos Palos-Oro Loma Joint Unified School District has been selected to receive a donation of two training vehicles from the Ford Motor Company as part of the Ford Customer Service Division Collision Vehicle Donation Program. The purpose of the donation is to support hands-on training in the District’s Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, specifically within the automotive and collision repair pathways. The donated vehicles include: 2019 Ford Fusion (VIN: 3FA6P0SU0KR251888) 2020 Ford Fusion (VIN: 3FA6P0SU3LR250414) The vehicles are being donated in “as-is” condition, with certain components such as the high-voltage batteries and restraint control modules removed for safety purposes. The vehicles are non-operational and are intended solely for educational use within the District. Per the donation agreement, once the vehicles and their components are no longer suitable for training, they must be destroyed and disposed of in accordance with the terms outlined in the agreement. The District assumes all liability related to the use and disposal of the vehicles.
Fiscal Impact: There is no cost to the District for the vehicles. Any associated expenses for transportation, eventual disposal, or incidental training materials will be absorbed within existing CTE or site budgets.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the donation and authorize the Superintendent or designee to execute the Ford Training Equipment Donation and Acceptance Agreement and take any necessary actions to receive and utilize the equipment for instructional purposes.
