Summary:
|
The Dos Palos High School Wing #300 Modernization Project is currently in progress. The original scope of work did not include renovations to the adjacent boys and girls restrooms. Upon evaluation, District administration is recommending a change order to incorporate restroom modernization to ensure consistency in facilities, address aging infrastructure, and improve the overall environment for students and staff.
Proposed Change Order Scope:
The restroom renovation will include the following upgrades:
Application of epoxy coating over existing ceramic wall tile to enhance durability and appearance.
Replacement of toilet partitions for improved sanitation and privacy.
Replacement of outdated plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, faucets) to improve water efficiency and ADA compliance.
These improvements are outside the original contract scope and will be executed through a formal additive change order to the general contractor.
Next Steps:
This item is being presented for information only at the June 12, 2025 Board Meeting. A recommendation for formal approval will be brought forward at the June 26, 2025 Board Meeting.
